My siblings threw my parents away several years before my father passed away - it hurt both of them but did not surprise me at all. When the money pit closes, the relationship sometimes ends. In the long run, my parents (and I) didn't miss anything.
There are always two sides to a story. That being said, I understand where Mr. Markle is coming from. My brother and his wife decided three years ago to cut contact with his side of the family. My elderly mother is hurting, but you go on. Wishing Mr. Markle a better and happier future wherever he goes.

Richard, what have the majority done to get knighthoods and peerages? For example, Jacob Rees Mogg. Most of us outside the London bubble are ordinary people doing the best we can to get by. We manage on what we’ve got, do our best to be kind to others and we get on with our lives. Scrap the so called Honours System.
