What's up in the tropics?
with Kelly P. Kissel | Metro editorThanks for stopping in to check out today's headlines. There's a lot happening here, and we also a couple of nice stories from more far-flung places. James Finn reports from Hammond on the battle against COVID-19. Finn spent a couple days at the hospital in the past week and found patients struggling to breathe after rejecting the vaccine. Mike Smith went to Sulphur to look at fears of a looming mental health crisis, after all the Lake Charles area has gone through in the past year. And closer to home, a 16-year-old accused of killing a woman in a neighborhood off Antioch Road during the 2019 Christmas season is telling a judge he's "not a problem child." Xavier Cade is accused of killing Angela Haymon. He had been out on bond, but was arrested again in May. Since he's a juvenile the court won't say why he was picked up again. Joe Gyan reports. |
