Through the fifty-eight years we have been married, we've had many dogs but only one cat. Our four-year-old daughter Karen discovered the cat in the neighborhood, apparently abandoned, and named him Tiger. We were in the process of moving from Kentucky to Southeast Georgia, and were feeling a bit guilty that our kids had to leave family and friends, schools and church buddies, to relocate to a place they had never seen. So when Karen asked sweetly, "Can we bring Tiger?" we agreed reluctantly.

Tiger adapted well to the new surroundings and even gained some weight. It was not long before we discovered that Tiger should have been named "Tigress" because she was pregnant. (Keep reading)
