The Telegraph
Britain is facing its biggest financial crisis for decades.
Coronavirus has forced businesses across the country to close. Movement is restricted. Thousands of British families and individuals will experience severe challenges in the weeks and months ahead.
Now were turning to you, our readers, to help.
Weve launched the Telegraph Coronavirus Appeal - in partnership with the national poverty charity Turn2Us. They provide a wealth of practical support to people in severe financial difficulties, and distribute millions of pounds each year in grants to help those in urgent need.
Turn2Us has seen a 500 per cent increase in the number of applications for its emergency grants in recent weeks. Many of these people have never needed to apply for welfare support in their lives. They are teachers, care workers, hospitality, law enforcement and retail workers.
Now, they find themselves struggling to pay bills or make essential purchases. Your donation will help Turn2Us support these families and individuals. It will help put food on tables, keep the lights on - and bring vital reassurance when its needed most.
