Trump endorsement: Former President Donald Trump waded into Louisiana politics this morning. Trump, beset by legal woes but also planning another presidential run, issued an endorsement in our governor’s race this fall, Tyler Bridges reports.
$5.5 million settlement: A man who spent more than three decades in prison before a federal judge overturned his conviction has agreed to a $5.5 million settlement with the city of New Orleans over his claims in a lawsuit that police railroaded him. John Simerman has the details.
Louisiana wine: You might not think of this as wine country, but there’s a winery within an easy drive of New Orleans. Our food/drinks guy Ian McNulty recently spent some time at the Wild Bush Farm & Vineyard on the north shore and likes what he saw there.
