Cast your vote in the Time In Awards
People have different ways of coping don’t they? Some dealt with the onset of lockdown by simply consuming enough cheese and wine to effectively block out the outside world. Let’s call these people ‘most of you’. Others, however, leapt up and saw lockdown as a chance to support communities, put on amazing streaming shows and help London’s neediest. We want these people to get the recognition deserve, so we’ve created the Time In Awards. Check out all the nominations and vote for your winners right now.

Tonight 7pm The Jamaican experience
In 1948 HMT Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury Docks and our national identity was transformed forever. The National Theatre’s ‘Small Island’, which traces the history between Jamaica and the UK, deals with all sorts of themes that are stomach-churningly relevant to London right now. The resurrection of this 2019 production (which sold out, by the way) could not be better timed. Based on Andrea Levy’s Orange Prize-winning novel, the play tells an epic story using a huge cast and no small amount of spectacle. Did we love this at the time? Yes we did.

Our favourite loaf is on the move
Join us now as we perform a celebratory air punch in honour of the Dusty Knuckle, Dalston’s socially conscious, uncompromisingly high-quality community bakery. In order to get more bread to more people, the shop’s owners have converted an old milk float into a mobile bakery that’s going to (slowly) tour east and north London. And if you’re currently stewing in resentment because you live outside of the milk float’s hilariously limited zone of activity, check out our list of other bakeries that deliver fresh bread . One of them will be near you. Probably. Hopefully.
