Dear John,

Each month we host a free open-ended art challenge on Instagram, and invite you to join us from the comfort of your own home. Just print or save the challenge image and set a plan to make something each day, using the words as your daily inspiration. 5 minutes is all it takes, and there's no pressure to show up every day.

You can create with pencil, paint, paper, recyclables, photography, or dirt from your garden (see April 27)! There are no limits, and the goal is to open yourself up to creative potential.

Click over to the full blog post to get all the details and to download a free printable calendar PDF (see below) that you can post to your fridge or tape to a wall.

For a little extra, you're also invited to join me in Schoolhouse, where we're sharing image inspo (see the image below for "Grid/April 10") for each of the daily prompts, plus space to share your work with our growing community.

Weekly Activity Calendar

In case you missed it, you can download this week's Schoolhouse activity calendar here [FREE] or click the image below. Since Monday and Tuesday are moving behind us, just move those activities up to another day this week! For more activity calendars, join us in Schoolhouse.

Drawing inspiration from design in the age of Covid-19

My friend Katie Krummeck, an educational designer and founder of the Maker Education Project at Southern Methodist University, wrote this article on how to draw inspiration from design in the time of Covid-19. We created a handy printable tool to go along with her lesson that you can download, free.

She shares an example of how one family has already put this tool to work. Inspiring!

Wishes for good health,
