Earl Thomas is great, but he'll be 30 before next season so Pete Prisco wouldn't pay him. Pete joins me to break down the outlook for all the 2019 free agents (he thinks someone like Tyrann Mathieu will find a better market than Thomas) and Ben Kercheval also joins to preview the new AAF ... it kicks off this weekend, FOOTBALL'S BACK.
Sure, the Raiders were awful and they traded away their best player right before the season began, but now they've got DRAFT CAPITAL, BABY. Chris Trapasso says Oakland will find a replacement for Khalil Mack with the first of their three first-round picks, then they'll give Derek Carr some weapons. And check out who trades up to nab the first QB.
Last year we saw an crazy amount of QB moves; Alex Smith's trade was even agreed to BEFORE the Super Bowl. This offseason, it might not be as dizzying, but there will still be lots of reshuffling. Jason La Canfora has a vision of how it will all likely shake out, with 19 teams involved in signings, including all three in Florida.

Free-agent running backs are not typically an attractive group, but this year feels a bit different. I don't want to get the hype train started too much here, but there's a chance we could see multiple big contracts for RBs this offseason, and not just Le'Veon Bell and Kareem Hunt ... it's a bizarre collection.
The ball is back in the Eagles' court. Nick Foles didn't waste any time buying his way out of his contract after the Eagles told him they'd exercise his option, so now Philly will likely look to put the franchise tag on him, strictly for trade purposes. Joel Corry says that might not be such a wise move, though; here's what could go wrong.
It's been five days since we last had a meaningful pro football game, and if you're like me, you're ready for the long drought to end. We're in luck: the brand new AAF kicks off Saturday night. But what exactly is it? Who are the coaches, players and teams? What are the rules? How can you watch? Ben Kercheval has all those answers and more right here.
