Is there any vehicle as polarizing as the Tesla Cybertruck? Not if we just look at the belligerent comments flooding social media. But today, we're closing out of X, putting down our phones and getting behind the wheel with a real-life Cybertruck owner. Plus:

What’s It Like Owning the Most Hated Vehicle in America?

“It’s not going to be for everyone.” That’s how Elon Musk first pitched the Cybertruck in 2019, in what may have been the understatement of the century. Five years later, now that the electric pickup is finally being made, delivered, and driven by actual paying customers, it’s clear that this vehicle is why they coined the phrase “love it or hate it.” And it appears that the scale is tipping heavily towards hate.

Just look anywhere online where people are talking about Musk’s latest EV — well, anywhere that’s not a Tesla fan account, group, forum or channel — and it’s mostly people deriding the vehicle itself or dunking on those who dare to say anything positive about it. There have even been viral videos of Cybertruck owners supposedly being targeted in the real world for their vehicle of choice. One video on YouTube, titled “People Hate Tesla Cybertruck,” which shows a motorcyclist knocking off the side mirror of one and someone driving aggressively in a BMW next to another, has over 400,000 views.

To get the full story on what The New York Times dubbed a “culture war on wheels,” we got in touch with someone who could cut through the noise: an actual Cybertruck owner. The first story Dan from Minnesota told us was about a red Chevrolet Silverado that followed him from the freeway all the way to his office — what happens next, well, it might just surprise you.

Yesterday, after discussing affordable watches, we asked how many you own. Here's what you said:

  • 11.3% of you said you own one watch that can do everything.
  • 18.9% are true collectors with over 10 watches.
  • 24.3% own a healthy variety with 5 to 10.
  • But with 45.5%, 2 to 5 watches was the sweet spot.

Take It From a Woman: Read This Before Buying Jewelry for Your Partner

Buying jewelry can be quite difficult. Everyone has different needs and preferences — on style, on metal type, on brands they like. Some women might prefer the prestige of brands like Tiffany or David Yurman, while others would rather have unique pieces from brands like Catbird or Monica Vinader. Plus, there are now a plethora of “demi-fine” jewelry brands on the market.

How do they differ from fine jewelry? Should you gift one over the other? When it comes to metal types, should you go gold or silver? And if you want to give her a ring (an engagement ring or something less consequential), how do you know that it will fit her finger? Luckily, Logan Mahan has all the answers you need, and then some, after interviewing Kara Yoo, designer and owner of her namesake jewelry brand.

Hartmann’s Reserve Luggage Collection Represents an Artisanal Evolution

When it comes to American heritage luggage brands, Hartmann is often the first name that comes to mind. With a legacy that dates back to 1877, Hartmann’s tweed and leather trunks and suitcases have become synonymous with luxury travel and timeless style. The iconic brand was the go-to luggage for discerning travelers, including U.S. presidents, world leaders, Hollywood icons and fashion designers, from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Winston Churchill. In today’s luggage market, where high-end luxury brands like Rimowa dominate one end and more accessible, stylish options like Away command the other, Hartmann finds itself in a unique yet understated position: poised to make a move.
