William Fernando Barnes — affectionately known in Atlanta’s hip-hop scene as DJ Nando — was shot and killed in his driveway in January 2014. Months later, Tiffany Pugh, the wife of another DJ, was killed. Police were left wondering if a vindictive aspiring music artist was behind the murders.

Phone records helped investigators determine Pugh’s death was a murder-for-hire carried out on behalf of her husband. But Barnes’ family is still searching for answers and justice in the killing of one of Atlanta’s most influential DJs.
