This summer, a new kind of Jewish food and culture festival will arrive in New York City. On Sunday, June 22, 2025, The Great Nosh picnic will debut on Governors Island presented by the Jewish Food Society, the nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Jewish culinary heritage, founded by Naama Shefi.
Envisioned for all New Yorkers, The Great Nosh invites attendees to experience Jewish food traditions as dynamic, diverse, and joyful expressions of culture. Set on Governors Island against the iconic backdrop of New York City and the Statue of Liberty, the picnic festival features one-of-a-kind chef collaborations, interactive art experiences, and live music.
