Exciting news! On October 10, Fiji Day, our Prime Minister made the announcement that we have all been waiting for: Fiji's borders will open to vaccinated travelers from the US and Canada, and other "travel partner" countries, starting December 1! The announcement comes as Fiji reached its goal of vaccinating 80% of its eligible population. You can read the full announcement by the Prime Minister here. Current information about travel requirements and protocols can be found here. Please be patient as this information is evolving and Tourism Fiji, the Fiji Hotel & Tourism Association and Fiji Airways are now working now with the government to develop an exhaustive list of FAQs to share with trade and consumers. Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways North American will be holding a webinar soon to share all the latest info about the reopening and the launch of our new Matai Specialist platform in December, so please watch this space! If you are not a Matai now and want to keep up to date on the new platform, register here. In the meantime, learn more about the Care Fiji Commitment, our on-the-ground program of hygiene and safety protocols already in place for resorts and other tourism operators across the islands. |
