The Webby Awards is close to announcing the 2020 Webby Winners, next Tuesday May 19th! Later, at 3:00pm ET, will mark the WFH: Webbys from Home Internet Celebration, hosted by Patton Oswalt!

This is a first-of-its-kind celebration, so The Webbys team is pulling out all the stops. While we recognize this year’s best, and most inspiring, digital work, we will be honoring the artists, leaders, organizers, journalists, and more who are using the Internet to respond to difficulties imposed by COVID-19. We’ve enlisted the help of a few Webby veterans, and superstars to do it.

There’s a great lineup of Internet superstars to help honor Webby Winners, wherever they are. Leaders like NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci and activist Monica Lewinsky; artists like Questlove (pictured), Imogen Heap, Jill Scott, and FKA twigs; athletes like Isaiah Thomas and Chris Long; amazing online personalities like Rhett & Link, Sean Evans, Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, as well as incredible industry leaders like David Droga, Paola Antonelli, Werner Vogels, Cindy Gallop , and more! While the current global health crisis continues to impact us all, the Internet has become the lifeblood for people looking to help one another. In a special moment, The Webbys will honor the community organizers, artists and celebrities using digital platforms to provide aid, share information, inspire, and entertain people around the world.

The Webbys From Home will feature a virtual performance by the ultra talented, New York-based singer-songwriter Moses Sumney. We love his voice and know you will, too. Unfamiliar with his music? Listen to his latest single “Bless Me”

One of the hallmarks of The Webby Awards show is the After Party. So, we’ve tapped the Internet’s favorite DJ and host of Club Quarantine, D-Nice, to host The Webbys From Home After Party on Instagram Live, May 19th at 8pm ET! After the celebration, head over to D-Nice’s Instagram to groove.

During The Webbys From Home, the partnership with Vote.org will continue, to help their mission of preparing eligible U.S. voters for the November election. Since you’ll already be on the site, feel free to confirm your voter registration, and get ready to make your voice heard this fall.
