Can The Gig Economy Stress-Bust The Holidays?

It’s called “festive stress,” and ‘tis the season. Luckily, this year, gig workers have already arrived, en masse — as if dispatched from the North Pole itself — to rescue consumers from holiday stressors like gift wrapping, light hanging and even toy assembly. Some are even gigging as Santas — though it’s the season's least lucrative temp job. It’s this year’s big finish for gig work, and going into 2019, its future seems a bit uncertain, which for many is also stressful.
