“Thanks for keeping me up-to-date and sharing your initiatives. As superior of our missions in Guatemala where our churches have been closed for three months, financially we are very limited at this time in all of our missions. I congratulate your community for your work and perhaps on another occasion I can respond more affirmatively.”

Dear John,
As I am sure you know, we are facing an unprecedented crisis around the world. You’ve heard about many of our employees here at Franciscan Media mention how their lives and perspectives have changed.
But the truth is, we are extremely blessed. We still have our health, our livelihood, and our loved ones around us. We work for an organization and order that are not concerned with the bottom line, but with the well-being of our Franciscan family. And in this moment right now across the world, that is something to be extremely thankful for.
But every day, I receive messages in our inbox from people around the world asking for prayers: people who have lost their jobs and those who are afraid for their health or the well-being of their loved ones. Many times, these are people who cannot afford to give anything themselves right now but who depend on messages of hope in their difficult circumstances.
So I ask that, if you are able, to please consider giving not only for us or for yourself, but also for those who can’t—those who are holding on to positive messages of prayer, love, and hope during this worldwide crisis.
It is a blessing to be able to stay safe during a pandemic, and it is a blessing not to have to worry about loved ones. These are blessings that not everyone has.
Thank you for your generosity, and remember that if you make a donation of $100 or more, you will receive a gift of fudge from Trappistine Quality Candy as a gift from Franciscan Media.
Thank you and God bless,
Margie Powell
