It's hard to believe that we're at the point in history where people will reject a job offer (with a great salary and benefits package!) because of a collaboration tool the company uses. But apparently that's a thing, as we see in today's Recruiting & Retention story

I'm stunned. When I went to work for a company, I assumed I'd use what they had -- whatever that was. Outlook. Gmail. Slack. Pidjin instant message. They put it on my machine, I learned how to use it and that was just it.

And I made my job decisions based on salary and what was best for my family.

Today's a new day, though, it seems. Or is it? Would you reevaluate your tech tools to attract new talent? Let me know! And if you enjoy this brief, tell others so they can benefit also.
