- The Editors at Men's Health  My husband and I cautiously opened the Yeti cooler on the second morning of our wilderness retreat, assuming the ice we'd put in it the day before would have melted into a pool. When we found it exactly as we'd left it, filled to the brim with perfectly frozen cubes, we agreed this product was magic. Just like that, despite the hefty price tag that once made me raise my eyebrows in judgement, we gladly offered up our souls to the Cult of Yeti, whose esteemed membership includes celebrities such as Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth. (We'll be sure to keep you posted if we run into them at any initiation ceremonies.) We tested out the Yeti Roadie 24 Hard Cooler (in an aesthetically pleasing "sagebrush green") on a recent getaway in the mountains of Upstate New York. We mostly needed the Yeti for the evenings, which we spent outside, drinking around the fire pit. "We expected it to be better than the average cooler, but not a scientific wonder—which it is," my husband said to me just now, when I asked him to describe the product. We're used to coolers where the ice melts after five or six hours. But when we filled the Yeti with ice on a Friday, it was still approximately 70% frozen by Sunday.
