Summer break is almost over, but learning is forever.
| | | | Hi there, My favorite stories are about discovery. Whether they tell a tale of grand explorers who discover new lands and meet new people or feature a young, coming-of-age adult that discovers something about themselves -- discovery is exciting! As an adult, my favorite stories to watch are the real-life observations of children and teens exploring (and discovering) the world around them. They are soaking up so much practical knowledge every day -- such as when babies develop their sight and stare at the lights above; when toddlers learn to take their first steps and balance their body against gravity; or when teenagers figure out what their favorite activities are. It’s just awesome to watch! So what does this have to do with science? Everything. Everything is science. The light that babies like to stare at? That’s energy! Learning to walk? That’s physics! A teenager figuring out the importance of nutrition and exercise? That’s biology! So, here are some options to explore science and discover the world around you during these final weeks of summer. Cheers to discovery! Lindsey |
