Astonishingly April’s is here with more days looking like spring, Easter is gone….. and the summer holidays are almost upon us

The good news for all of us is that the roadworks are now finished. All those hours of sitting waiting for the lights to change at the Turks Head are over. More time for stitching and sewing
“YIPPEE!”

Thimblestitch has been really busy both upstairs in the workshop and in the shop. Hence the gap in between newsletters !! I am always thrilled to see the standard of work achieved upstairs, and I am sure you all get as much pleasure from the experience as I do, if all your lovely comments are anything to go by.

 

 

I have a new selection of the ever popular Moda scrap bags, charm packs and layer cakes, the haberdashery side is growing all the time. Also, just on the shelves, is the new range by Lewis and Irene – Bluebell Wood. I really didn’t need any more fabric, but I think that when you see it, you’ll agree with me, that “I just had to have it!” Don’t forget that if you can’t get in to see me, mail order is available.

   Hearts Delight - Friday 15th April with Sandra Coleridge. Make this lovely Wall hanging, working with bosal, organza, and free motion embroidery and wrapped cords. 

    Blackwork - Saturday 16th April with Karen Fanzo. Spend a great day learning traditional stitches, making a lovely little needlecase.

   Jelly Roll Quilt – Friday 22nd April with Chris Peckham. If you missed this one first time around, here is another chance.

   Magical Menagerie – Sat 23rd April with Gemma Fletcher. Again another chance to achieve some delightful results with Gemma.

   Get to know your Sewing Machine – Wednesday 4th May with Sandra Coleridge. So many of you have been asking for this.

 

 Dressmaking Course - Thursday 28th April with Karen Fanzo. 6 week course. The evening session is full, with a couple of spaces left in the afternoon. 

   Carry all Bag - Friday 29th April & Friday 6th May with Zoe Hughes. My Bag is proving very popular.

   Beginners Patchwork – Tuesday 10th May with Chris Peckham. 10 week Course. There have been some stunning results from the first session.

   Two-Day Dressmaking - Saturday 14th  & Sunday 15th with Karen Fanzo. If you can’t make the 6 week course this is great opportunity. 

   Beginners Crochet – Friday 27th May with Lynn Horniblow. Come try your hand at this totally addictive versatile hobby.

   Mischievous Elf - Saturday 28th May with Gary Mills. Elf, Goblin, Pixie the choice is yours, very cute.P

   Pattern and Print – Sat 4th June with Gemma Fletcher.
   Cricut Taster Day – Sat 18th June with Haidee Rowe.
   Postcards from the shore – Saturday 2nd July with Gemma Fletcher.
