Hi Achternaam,

Sometimes, you have to improvise in the kitchen. Last week I made jam from plums in my freezer. (I'm working on getting it cleaned out.) Anyway, I had to smash said plums with a slotted spoon instead of my potato masher because we're moving...and the potato masher is already at the new place.

I find myself looking for things and they're not where they're supposed to be!

Thankfully, the recipes on my website haven't moved places. They're still right where they're supposed to be. :)

Plum Sauce Recipe - New page! This savory and sweet plum sauce recipe makes a special dinner with no extra effort. A perfect combination with chicken, this sweet plum sauce is a traditional condiment for Chinese food.

Canning Applesauce - Canning Chat recently added. Jan asks, “Can Splenda be used to can applesauce? My granddaughter is a diabetic, but she loves applesauce.” Learn the answer in the Canning Chat we just added to this page.

Dehydrating Tomatoes Page recently updated. After you dehydrate tomatoes, you can turn them into tomato powder, which can be used for making sauce or thickening other dishes.

Canning Corn - Personally, I like the flavor of home-canned corn too. Canning corn from your own garden or another local grower is still better than store-bought canned sweet corn.
