Sharp decline in consumer sentiment in October

Utah’s consumer sentiment fell 9.4% in October (from 76.3 in September to 69.1), according to the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute’s Survey of Utah Consumer Sentiment. A similar survey by the University of Michigan found that sentiment fell 6.0% among Americans during the same time. (Read More)

Full-day kindergarten sees strong enrollment increase across the state

Data recently released by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) indicates that an incredible 77% of enrolled Utah kindergartners have decided to take advantage of full-day kindergarten options. As of October 1, 2023, 34,911 Utah families have opted for full-day for their students, with only 23% of students enrolled in the half-day option. (Read More)
