Friend,
With each passing minute it becomes more clear: The voters have decided, and we will soon know for sure who’s won the presidential election.
In the midst of a heartbreaking year in which the coronavirus pandemic upended our lives and massive, necessary uprisings over racial injustice took to the streets, we saw record ballots cast across the country to demand a new direction for the nation.
But President Trump, on the verge of defeat, is signaling that he won’t accept the results — pushing lies about voter fraud from the White House press room and across social media.
Tomorrow — Sat., Nov. 7 — people will gather together in cities and towns across the country to celebrate the rejection of the Trump’s administration’s bigotry, racism and hatred and stand in solidarity against any attempts to undermine the election.

At Free Press Action, we have a lot on our minds as we enter 2021. From defunding the surveillance state to ensuring everyone has access to affordable broadband to dismantling the stranglehold of corporate media to holding tech platforms accountable, there is a lot of work ahead of us.
As we continue navigating this incredibly complex year, we’re encouraging our members to keep showing up for each other, to celebrate victories wherever they find them and to make the connections necessary to change the course of history.
