Hold the phones: the day has arrived where PETA and I actually agree about something.
So, Hell didn't freeze over. It just opened a vent and made the United States as hot as it is. But I'm still absolutely shocked that I've found myself nodding my head in agreement with a PETA statement.
It comes after one pet shelter in California has decided to refuse the right to adopt to anyone who doesn't agree with their personal stance on gun control and wrestling away our second amendment rights.
While sure that Shelter Hope has "the best intentions, but from PETA’s perspective, because there is a homeless animal crisis, what counts is that adopted animals are treated well and cared for and that is the criteria we feel is important."
Those are the words of Catie Cryar, PETA's assistant manager.
