So this is where to eat this spring
Looking for the perfect al fresco dining spot? Course you are. We all are. And friends, we come bearing gifts. Gifts of incredible food served in lush, bookable outdoor areas. All you have to do is head to the beautiful west London neighbourhoods of Mayfair and Belgravia.
There really are some fine spots in these parts of town you know. And whether you’re after a fancy brunch at the weekend or some early evening culinary treats in the springtime sun, you’re pretty well covered. But to make your lives that little bit easier, we’ve picked a few of our favourite venues, each with glorious outdoor areas – and bookable now. Go get ‘em.
Okay so first up is Jean-Georges at The Connaught. It specialises in high-quality farm-to-fork food but oh boy is the terrace worth the trip alone. Pretty as a picture. We also love the outdoor area at Jak’s Mayfair – head down for breakfast and enjoy South Molton Street life slipping idly by.
The Biltmore Terrace is another belter (big love for the foliage-covered walls) and thanks to its ceiling heaters, it’s great when the sun goes down, too. The Thomas Cubitt does gastropub fare like few others, and Daylesford Organic just dreamy for healthy, seasonal produce. And last but not least? Boisdale of Belgravia,
because, well, it’s an institution around these here parts – and that outdoor terrace is a cracker. Welcome back, friends, welcome back.
