TechRepublic | Research from Check Point Software have discovered a number of vulnerabilities in online dating service OKCupid's mobile app and website that could allow attackers to not only steal personal data, but take actions on a user's behalf as well.
BleepingComputer | Microsoft is removing all Windows downloads from the Microsoft Download Center that are signed using SHA-1 certificates on August 3rd, 2020. The SHA-1 algorithm was commonly used to code-sign executables and TLS and SSL certificates used on web sites to authenticate a publisher's legitimacy.
ZDNet | IBM released its annual Cost of a Data Breach Report which says that the average data breach now costs $3.86 million. While this average has decreased by 1.5% in comparison to 2019, when over 50 million consumer records are involved, these "mega" breaches can cost up to $392 million to remedy, up from $388 million in 2019.
