CAM Donor Spotlight:

Happy Birthday Walter Pancoe!

Beth Pancoe, Hiroshi Sueyoshi, and Walter Pancoe at the Family Night at the Clay Studio

Next Tuesday, October 18, CAM donor Walter Pancoe turns 99 and we wish him the happiest of birthdays!

Walter has been active in the Wilmington community personally and professionally since he moved here in 1978.  As a real estate developer, Walter has developed projects in Wilmington including the Birch Creek residential community and the Wrightsville Office Park.

The Pancoe Art Education Center

Supporting the Wilmington cultural community, Walter has been a member of the Board of the Cameron Art Museum, formerly the St. Johns Art Museum. With his wife Beth Pancoe, Walter generously funded the Cameron Museum’s

Pancoe Art Education Center.

Pancoe Art Education Center.

In 2021, there were 133 Museum School classes held in the Pancoe Arts Education Center. These classes were offered to students of all ages and levels in a variety of mediums. From ceramics to painting to live drawing to photography, CAM’s Museum School has something for everyone.

Community lies at the very heart of CAM's core beliefs and it is a community of donors that help CAM in our mission everyday.

It's because of donors like Walter and Beth Pancoe and their generous gift that makes the Cameron Art Museum and our Museum School what it is today and we are truly grateful.

Happy birthday Walter!
