CAM Spotlight:

Kids State of the Art &

FREE Community Day

this Saturday, August 20!

Kids State of the Art opens this

Saturday, August 20 and we are celebrating the opening of this inaugural exhibit with a FREE Community Day!

The museum is FREE and open to the public all day with interactive art activities, live performances and more.

On August 6, we invited young North Carolina artists ages 5 to 17 to drop off a work of art at the museum as well as at the Dreams Center for Arts Education in downtown Wilmington. The community response was tremendous as over 300 works were received to display in CAM’s Studio One gallery.

Much like CAM’s grownup State of the Art, the gallery is filled floor to ceiling with paintings, drawings and sculptures from our community’s youngest artists. We can't wait to show you!

Join us on Saturday for a

CAM Community Day to Celebrate with

Sculpture: Creating with Found Materials

Join Boundless creator and Duke professor Stephen Hayes for this rare opportunity to explore the creative process of sculpture using found materials.

Hayes was also recently accepted into Kehinde Wiley’s prestigious Black Rock artist in residency program in Senegal.
