The Stars Shine Bright for CAM's 60 Years Gala!

Join us Saturday night, November 12 as we commemorate our 60th anniversary with live music, culinary creations, cocktails, a live auction and more! It's our 60 Years Gala and you are invited as we celebrate love of community and art! Purchase your tickets today! 

Proceeds from ticket sales support our mission of enriching the Wilmington community with high-quality exhibitions, lifelong learning in the arts, dynamic public programs, and stewardship and interpretation of our collection. The themes for this year’s gala are Art, Community, and Love which are at the very heart of CAM’s mission.

Get your dancing shoes ready! This year’s gala will feature music from Mangroove along with party-band headliners Fantasy taking over the dance floor.

Closing the Gap with Arts Integration: Professional Development Workshop for Educators & Parents of Students in Grades K-8

Offered to educators in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender, and Sampson counties


Deepen your understanding of CAM’s USCT public sculpture Boundless through the lens of history, poetry, and movement. Learn what arts integration is and how you can employ it in your classroom. These workshops are designed to teach educators how to use the arts to teach core curriculum and help close the achievement gap through active learning strategies that engage all learners. Participating educators will receive a certificate of completion to submit to their respective counties for CEU credit consideration.

Room on a Broom

Halloween is right around the corner – get into the spirit with our book Room on the Broom about a kind witch and her animal friends. We will make Halloween arts and crafts and of course, costumes are encouraged!


Art Explorers is geared towards infants, toddler and preschoolers, but big brothers and sisters are welcome to join and create art with us. Space is limited so preregister to guarantee your spot!

New Hanover County Library Fiction to Fashion Runway Show

Fiction to Fashion is Mr. Scooter’s annual fashion design contest for teens in which young designers create an outfit using unconventional materials including discarded library books, cassette tapes, and CDs. This program connects participants through the New Hanover County Library with local fashion professionals and allows teens to explore future careers in fashion through a sequence of events which combines the practical with the whimsical.

Color Theory with a Twist

What are ways we can enhance our paintings' color story? Color theory and capturing bold, emotional color can be challenging. This course is a fun study in color fundamentals with a twist.

Printmaking Studies: Collagraph collage plates

Instructor: Antoinette Vogt

Learn the art of collagraph relief printmaking using plates created by collage. In this workshop students will create printing plates by gluing elements onto the printing surface to create an image.

Nature's Sketchbook: En Plein Air

Let's enjoy time in nature and all the inspiration for sketching and informal watercolor quick studies. This two-day intensive is a fun introduction to working en plein air as well as refresher for building a painting reference library.
