Show Extended!

State of the Art

On view until October 9!

Due to popular demand, State of the Art / Art of the State has been extended to October 9. Originally set to close on September 18, we are thrilled to offer more time so that visitors can see all the unique works of art from artists from across the state.

Since opening on April 8, 2022, we have welcomed over 6,000 visitors to State of the Art. The 776 works in total are displayed floor to ceiling and range from traditional oil and acrylic paintings and sculptures, to works on paper, textiles, and video.

The show has also been a hit with critics with the Star News calling it, "... a thunderous and ultimately beautiful statement affirming that all art is valid."

CAMStateoftheArt.org now features approximately 100 artist interviews with more video content to follow. Visitors inside the museum as well as anywhere can learn more about the works directly from the artists themselves.

One very special and timely video to highlight is by young Ukrainian artist and UNCW student Olha Novikova talking about her work Childhood Places and her emotional response to the war in Ukraine.

See Childhood Places along with 775 other works of art now on view through October 9!
