Did you know that Massachusetts residents can get free admission to the Harvard Art Museums on Saturday mornings? Arrive before noon and just show your proof of residency to enjoy the museums for the rest of the day for free! Jenny’s Cafe is open to keep you fueled with sweet and savory treats as well as delicious drinks. If you can’t visit us in person, remember that we’re still offering some virtual events, like this Art Talk Live coming up on Tuesday.

After Hours

We are excited to welcome you back for another Harvard Art Museums at Night, on Thursday, May 26 from 5 to 9pm. After you’re done enjoying refreshments and tunes with friends, go upstairs to check out our new exhibitions, Crossroads: Drawing the Dutch Landscape and Earthly Delights: 6,000 Years of Asian Ceramics Advance reservations are encouraged, but walk-in visitors are always welcome.

In Odili Donald Odita’s lithograph Cut, colors come together in a dazzling visual symphony. It’s one of the many compelling works found in the exhibition Prints from the Brandywine Workshop and Archives: Creative Communities. Listen to The Lonely Palette’s podcast episode devoted to Odita and his masterful melding of African traditions and western notions of modernity.

Francesca Bewer, from the Harvard Art Museums, and Erin Muirhead McCarty, from Community Art Center, discuss their collaboration on a youth program last summer in Cambridge. And the partnership is continuing to flourish: the museums will host the center’s youth film festival in June.
