Tianlongshan Cave Temples

It’s not too late to register for the next online Art Talk, on Tuesday, May 18, which will explore fragments from China’s Tianlongshan cave temples and new efforts to uncover their recent history and original context.

Responsible for the safe handling and movement of artwork in the Art Study Center, Liz Sirrine shares insights on her role at the Harvard Art Museums in the latest episode of our podcast.

On Wednesday, May 19, we’re celebrating our Student Guides and Student Board members who are graduating this spring! In this tour, Student Guides will talk about objects in the collections that won’t let them go. Bring your questions and conversation!

Don’t forget to register for an online lecture on Tuesday, May 25 by professor Yurika Wakamatsu. She will examine Lotus in Autumn (1872), by Okuhara Seiko—an exceptionally large and immersive ink painting that is part of the Painting Edo exhibition.

By popular demand, online Student Guide Tours will be extended into June. Running on Thursdays and Saturdays, you can explore the collections and talk about art. Stay tuned for more details!
