Energy Realism last week won the day: Donald Trump and his America first, fossil fuels first agenda won the day in a historic electoral landslide for U.S. President.

David Hart got us started last week: especially true with Donald Trump now back in as U.S. President, it’s been a year of turmoil in the Middle East and yet the price of oil has barely budged. While many attribute this non-event to the growth in U.S. oil production, there’s another, less obvious factor: a new global energy trade system is being born. Very fortunately, as reported by Jason Isaac, a Kamala victory that never happened would have meant climate warfare on our own oil and gas industry. Finally, Daniel Turner explains how Trump nailed it: he closed with energy.  Donald Trump’s “drill baby drill” phrase is constant and consistent at his rallies, as it is many pro-energy conservatives candidates, but in the home stretch, even Democrats tried to get in on the fun.
