Asian Animation Summit

Throwback Thursday with AAS!

Four-time AAS pitcher Lil Critter Workshop from Malaysia made its debut at the event in 2013, presenting a promising 2D-animated project for younger kids called Hogie the Globehopper. With a focus on discovering new cultures around the world, Hogie has travelled quite a bit since those early days, closing 24 sales that cover 106 territories. The 52 x 11-minute series is currently airing on Discovery Kids and Netflix, and has earned a strong three-star rating from Common Sense Media.

Want to be among the first to discover this year’s best new animation concepts developing in Asia-Pacific?

Registration for AAS 2020 is now open, and a $200 Early-Bird discount is in effect until Friday, August 28. In light of the continued uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic, Kidscreen has adjusted its cancellation policy for AAS so that if it’s not possible to produce a live event because of COVID-19, all registration fees will be fully refunded.
