What you missed while you were on a shuttle bus

Hi readers, what's the craic?

Earlier this week, I said that Coldplay had taken over my life. And it's true. They have.

But as a news editor, I wouldn't be doing my job correctly if I wasn't paying attention to what was happening in Dubai while also keeping one eye on the stars and how they shine for you.

Dubai is constantly changing, it's what makes it such a fascinating place to write about. It seems incredible that we're only a year away from seeing flying taxis zoom around the city.

This week, while many were boarding a shuttle bus to the capital, Dubai was bringing its A-game. We saw a major development when it comes to the upcoming airborne public transport system. Yes, that’s a fancy way of saying flying taxis – and they’re taking off sooner than expected.

Another big revelation that may have passed you by? The publication of a white paper by the UAE government, which strongly argued in favour of remote work being rolled out wider across the country. You'll want to read this one.

For the rest of the week's big headlines check our round-up here.

Now try your best to succeed at having an amazing Sunday – whether you're going to Coldplay or not.

You stay classy Dubai,
