From mobile tents to folding campers Camping wagons were produced and pulled into the countryside by horses in the years before the advent of the automobile. But, with the earliest distribution of horseless carriages, camper manufacturers began to pop up all around the country.
RVing is a fun family activity and millions of families and couples take part in it each year. But, what about singles? Can they enjoy the RVing lifestyle without having to live like monks in seclusion? "We're not a rocking chair, play shuffleboard and lawn bowling kind of group. We're a rock and roll group - rolling down the road to adventure," said Magee.

Dash cams: A new fad or an RVing necessity? There are so many memorable moments that happen while we are traveling, and often times these moments happen when we least expect it. The second reason to have a dash cam is to document any incidents/accidents that may occur while on the road.

Recipe of the week: Linda's favorite taco salad This week's recipe is for taco salad. It was submitted by Linda Dean, from New River, Ariz. She has been in an RV off and on since 1982, living in a 32-foot Traveleze trailer for 9 years. After breaking down and buying a house, she still owned a truck camper. Now she's back in the groove with a 31-foot Alpenlite that has been gently used.

White-knuckle driving is part of the adventure There is something about navigating an 11-ton vehicle towing a two-ton car at 65 miles per hour as trucks wiz by inches away and cars pass with drivers and passengers intentionally giving me the one-finger salute that makes me just a tad bit nervous.
This Wisconsin girl is lucky to be hanging out in Organ, N.M., for the winter. I would have hated to miss this up close and personal experience with a true to size Mainly Marathons caboose.

(March 7, 2016) - If you've never heard of The Villages, then you haven't spent much time in Northern Florida. It is a planned community for seniors. With a current population of roughly 140,000, it is the world's largest retirement community. There are approximately 90 miles of golf cart trails. Some residents have even opted to not own a car since they can get to everywhere in their golf cart! | (March 7, 2016) - We start our fifth year of RVing this month and can't wait for all the adventures ahead. But along the way, in over 100,000 miles of travel, we've learned a few things. | (March 7, 2016) - After being stationary for so long, it felt good to be on the road again! We only traveled about 80 miles to a free camping area a few miles south of Lake Havasu City. We had chosen this spot for two reason; 1) it was free! 2) it was close to the Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge. | (March 9, 2016) - Our coach has an Independent Front Suspension manufactured by ZF Friedrichshafen AG. Christian, a representative from ZF was at Tiffin to inspect 20 coaches with the ZF suspension. The king pins are in place with caps at the top and at the bottom. Grease and air are in these cylinders. Christian was looking at the bottom caps to determine if they have scratches from a king pin that might have shifted. | (March 7, 2016) - It's Sunday morning. You just had a great weekend of camping, and you got to wake up in your cozy RV parked in the middle of God's glory; the great outdoors. But there's just one problem- you're too far away from your church and you will miss the service. Maybe you missed service last weekend, and you don't want to miss again. Or, you're excited for the opportunity to experience a new church with a different community. | (March 8, 2016) - The biggest change is that we remodeled! We took advantage of some time we had in Orlando, Fla., and ripped out the front section of our trailer and rebuilt the kitchen, added storage and removed the "bathroom." |
