American artist Thomas Sayre returns to CAM for an

illuminating artist talk hosted by Rachel Lewis Hilburn.


Spend time with Thomas Sayre: Four Walls - an exhibition that

Lawrence Wheeler,Director Emeritus of the North Carolina Museum of Art, says, "... celebrate(s) the achievements of one of the best among us."


Best known for his monumental sculptures cast from on-site excavations, Sayre’s work in Four Walls invites viewers into a world of fugitive materials and processes, encouraging deep contemplation.


Rachel Lewis Hilburn brings her expertise as a journalist to this conversation, drawing on her unique ability to connect with others and delve into their creative processes. Her experience producing and hosting CoastLine, which featured artists, scholars, and innovators, adds a rich layer to this discussion.
