A huge temp swing -- in a good way. Well done, Minnesota, we deserve a somewhat warmer weekend after the brief but intense cold snap. Saturday highs will be back to our normal temps, in the low to mid-30s in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. Some single-digit wind chills are possible in northern Minnesota, but not as bad as what we saw earlier this week. 

ICYMI: Love blooming at a roller rink. For this Valentine’s Day, meet two couples who fell in love while roller-skating together. Matt and Debra met at the Roller Garden and got married at that very rink, the only wedding held there in 75 years. Alexander Kelly and Ciara Swart spend every Friday night on their wheels together and have been together for four years. Happy Valentine's Day!

AG Barr asked Trump to stop tweeting; Trump ignored. In an interview, Attorney General William Barr said on Thursday that the president's tweets were making it "impossible" to do his job. And the White House answered -- and ignored -- the request, saying Trump "wasn't bothered by the comments at all and he has the right, just like any American citizen to publicly offer his opinions."

American Airlines halts its Duluth-Chicago flights. The airline says it’s ending the service on April 27, because the route “was not profitable and did not meet expectations." Don’t worry, United continues to offer Duluth-Chicago service and Delta still flies between Duluth and MSP.

What if you saw a warning when logging into your social media? A state senator introduced a bill that would require big social media companies like Twitter and Facebook to pay a fee for their Minnesota users. The senator also wants to add a warning when people log in to their social media that reads: “Social media use is addictive. Excessive use of social media platforms may lead to mental health disorders.”
