1. Your family will have fun with stuffed French toast sticks. Make French toast out of jam or peanut butter sandwiches. Make them ahead of time, cut them into strips, wrap them in plastic, and freeze them.
To serve them, make some flavored pancake syrup, stage the warm syrups in colored ramekins, and warm up the French toast sticks. Dip the sticks in the syrups. That's a lot of fun with a free bread mix and dollar syrups!
2. Make strawberry cupcakes. Yep, those are fresh strawberries inside yummy cupcakes. You'll need a cupcake corer to cut the centers out. (You can also use your corer to cut ice cream plugs to stick in your cupcakes.)
3. Make brownie ice cream cones. Take a dollar brownie mix, stick some ice cream cones in a muffin pan to hold them upright, partially fill them with brownie batter. After the brownies have cooled, top them each with a scoop or two of ice cream. Cheap treats that will delight the kids . . . and their parents!
