Dear Reader, ‘The Great Battery Race…is ready for primetime.’ Those were the words of a Goldman Sachs analyst in a research note last year. They’re not wrong. EV sales are exploding. They doubled last year. Here in Australia, they tripled. Every forecast I’ve seen suggests that growth is just the start. And batteries are the key to the whole story. According to Morgan Stanley, batteries could ‘do for this century what oil did for the last’. The early signs suggest there’s a lot of money to be made too. According to Business Insider, one battery stock is already ‘minting billionaires faster than Silicon Valley stalwarts Google or Facebook ever did’. Warren Buffett recently disclosed he’d made more than 2,000% on another top-performing battery play. But this is bigger than a couple of top-performing stocks. Australia’s Resources Minister recently claimed the whole sector could grow 100-fold in the next 10 years. The question is, which stocks should you buy to capitalise? I’ve spent a lot of time this year trying to figure that out. While not everything has risen, I’ve already seen a handful of stocks shoot more than 1,000% higher. I’ve found three stocks I think could be next in line. They’re certainly not risk-free. But I reckon they DO have big potential. Here’s the full story.
