Port leadership confident going into 2020

The S.C. Ports Authority continues to see year-over-year growth, with 1.04 million TEUs moved since the fiscal year began in July. Progress is also being made on construction of the Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal in North Charleston, which is expected to be completed in 2021, and the port’s CEO says the agency is on the right track despite global economic headwinds.

S.C. Department of Agriculture gets software to track hemp

The system helps the department track reports and records submitted by the state’s 114 licensed hemp farmers and 40-plus hemp processors to ensure they are complying with state and federal laws.

S.C. to have W-4 tax form beginning in 2020

The new state Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate is necessary because allowances have been removed from the federal W-4 beginning in 2020.
