Judge approves $520M settlement in Santee Cooper lawsuit

A judge has given preliminary approval to a $520 million settlement that would provide refunds to Santee Cooper customers whose utility rates were increased to pay for the failed V.C. Summer nuclear project. A fairness hearing for the settlement is set for July 20 in Richland County.

Dominion Energy commits $1M to coronavirus relief efforts

The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation is committing $1 million to help with COVID-19 relief efforts. The donation will go to local nonprofits and the American Red Cross.

Limehouse Produce

Limehouse Produce in North Charleston is still making deliveries to restaurants that provide pickup and delivery items for customers, as well as medical facilities and schools that are making food for students to pick up over the next few weeks. The company has only about half of its usual crew working.

Like all other restaurants in the state, Cantina 76’s Columbia locations moved to curbside pickup and to-go orders. The eatery has locations in Greenville, Mount Pleasant and Kiawah Island.
