Tennis stadium to undergo renovations on Daniel Island

Charleston Tennis LLC, which operates the Volvo Car Open, said renovations include a multistory facility with player wellness areas, room for food preparation, media production, and a VIP Club level overlooking the center court. The renovations to Volvo Car Stadium will be paid for by the owners of Charleston Tennis LLC.

Trident Tech receives $1.9M for STEM initiatives

The Department of Defense awarded Trident Technical College $1.9 million to create STEM programs for disadvantaged K-12 students in the Charleston region. The technical college will partner with Joint Base Charleston and Charleston Promise Neighborhood to use this grant to provide STEM-related youth camps and coursework.
