Good morning from the GMSA anchor desk! So, I learned something about myself yesterday. I could never work in the medical field. We have a class at KSAT called “stop the bleed.” It teaches us what to do in emergency situations to prevent someone from bleeding to death while waiting on emergency personnel. There were lessons in applying a tourniquet, stuffing a deep wound with gauze and applying pressure on the wound. I gagged trying to stuff gauze in fake stab wound on a fake leg. David, on the other hand, was all braggy about how he could save a life now! Even the Dr. instructor said maybe my job should be to call 911. I’m so grateful to all who work in the medical field, and also grateful my job is to wake up San Antonio!
