Ring in 2023 in spectacular style at the Natural History Museum

Looking for something extra special to do on New Year's Eve? After two years of lukewarm celebrations (cheers, Covid), you've earned a really big blowout. And you'll find one at the Natural History Museum.

For the first time since 2019, this world-renowned institution invites revellers to ring in 2023 underneath Hope the blue whale in the magnificent Hintze Hall. Expect live music, well-stocked bars, and loads of dino-inspired activities waiting to be discovered all over the museum. The theme this year is Jurassic party, and you're invited to dress up accordingly.

Tickets to the Natural History Museum's epic New Year's Eve celebration are on sale right now and cost £99pp. On top of admission to a party of (pre)historic proportions, you'll get a complimentary drink, entry to the enormously popular Wildlife Photographer of The Year exhibition, and after-dark access to selected galleries. Click below to get tickets before they go extinct, or read on for a closer look at what's going down.

Music And Mayhem

This is the Natural History Museum's biggest party of the year and, trust us, it's going to be wild. We're talking DJ sets, a live band, and a range of tipples and light refreshments available to purchase throughout the evening. There's also a silent disco and musical bingo and, with the celebration lasting from 8pm to 1.30am, there's plenty of time to let your hair down.

Jurassic-Themed Fun

Fancy dress is highly encouraged, so channel your favourite Theropod or opt for an Ammonite-inspired ensemble (the theme's "Jurassic disco", so you can probably slap some glitter on your get-up, too). There's even a prize for the best-dressed guest. On top of that, there are incredible Jurassic-inspired performers and dino-centric activities for you to get involved in.

After-Dark Discoveries

Not only will selected galleries stay open late so you can explore them away from the daytime crowds, but your New Year's Eve ticket also includes after-dark entry to the new-look Wildlife Photographer of The Year exhibition. Here you'll discover compelling images of the natural world taken over the course of the last year — a genuinely awe-inspiring way to see out 2022.
