TikTok’s Legal Case Against the Trump Administration

Hi there,

Thanks for your time this morning.

President Trump released an executive order last week that sought to ban TikTok from the U.S. over security concerns. While he can't unilaterally ban the video app (here's the backstory on that), his administration could provide several hurdles that could make doing business here difficult.

TikTok has already hinted at fighting back the White House's demands by pressing charges. My colleague, Scott Nover, ran through some scenarios of what that legal fight might look like. That is... whether Trump's executive order can even legally include TikTok.
