Market Analysis

Bitcoin Ends Q2 On A High Note

Bitcoin ended Q2 with nearly 30% gains, trading around $109,000 on July 4th, just below its all-time high. A brief midweek dip to $105K followed the Senate's approval of Trump’s $5 trillion “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which makes 2017 tax cuts permanent, raises the debt ceiling, and slashes programs like Medicaid and green energy.

While the market reacted with temporary weakness, many view the bill’s inflationary impact and rising U.S. debt as bullish for Bitcoin, similar to the post-2020 stimulus rally.

Political tensions flared as Elon Musk criticized the bill’s energy cuts and hinted at starting a third party, prompting Trump to suggest deportation.

Meanwhile, a proposed crypto tax relief was removed, disappointing miners, but discussions about a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve are gaining traction.

XRP Faces Potential Major Correction

XRP’s Stochastic RSI has entered overbought territory, a condition that in 2025 has historically preceded average price corrections of around 25%.

Technical patterns, including a descending triangle, indicate a possible decline to $1.14 or even a deeper drop near $0.60, reflecting a potential 50–70% pullback. Despite this bearish outlook, some analysts remain optimistic, forecasting targets ranging from $3.70 up to $27 based on bullish patterns and accumulation trends.

Given these conflicting signals, traders should remain vigilant, closely watching RSI levels, volume trends, and key support and resistance zones to navigate the uncertain market ahead.

Bridging Crypto Wealth & Real Estate

Crypto-backed mortgages now let borrowers use digital assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum, as collateral to buy real estate without selling their holdings, offering benefits such as tax efficiency, faster approval, and continued exposure to crypto gains.

The process involves transferring crypto to an escrow account, receiving a fiat loan, and repaying while the lender monitors the collateral’s value, margin calls occur if it drops.

Though appealing for portfolio diversification and liquidity, these loans carry risks like crypto volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and complex terms.

Leading platforms like Nexo, Ledn, and Salt Lending offer tailored solutions with varying interest rates, collateral requirements, and crypto support.

Opinion Piece - Crypto Should Engage Mamdani, Not Fear Him

Zohran Mamdani’s victory in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary has rattled the crypto world, but the fear may be misplaced.

Crypto leaders like Tyler Winklevoss and David Sacks have slammed Mamdani for his progressive politics and past support for consumer protections. But Mamdani hasn’t taken an anti-crypto stance. His focus has been on preventing the kind of financial harm seen in the wake of FTX and Terra, something most voters support.

More importantly, NYC’s mayor has limited power over crypto regulation. That authority lies with state agencies like the NYDFS. Even pro-crypto Mayor Eric Adams accomplished little beyond symbolic gestures.

Instead of reacting with alarm, the crypto industry should engage Mamdani. If approached constructively, he could be open to innovation that aligns with public interest. Screaming “anti-crypto” only widens the gap.

Assuming Zohran becomes mayor, crypto's future in NYC depends not on fear, but on dialogue.
