Control over your energy supply is control over your life—and right now it’s a good time to make the switch and take control. Incentives to go solar are still available, financing options are readily available to make the transition easier, and the new tariffs on solar panels have not yet affected prices.
Each year several local incentives programs including Xcel Energy’s Solar*Rewards program offer a limited number of customers in Minnesota added incentives to make the switch to this clean, unlimited energy source. Xcel’s program opened for applications on Jan. 8, 2018, and so far over a third of the available funding has already been reserved. Last year, the program was fully allocated by August, and there’s an expectation it may be even more quickly used up this year, which means time may be limited for homes and businesses interested in applying for funding to install solar arrays.
There are also national programs to help make it easier to get up and running with solar. A 30% federal investment tax credit (ITC) is available for a variety of green energy installations, including solar, but it is scheduled to drop for any systems that don’t get installed before the end of 2019.
Becoming part of the solar wave is simpler than ever before. The first step is
request a free consultation to determine if your property is a good candidate for solar. If it makes sense, we’ll take the lead on completing paperwork, as well as helping to structure monthly financing or other payment options.
But don’t just take our word for it; our customers say it best.
“I had researched solar systems online, but meeting with All Energy Solar was what showed me in black and white that it made financial sense,” said Lonnie Van Klei of Hugo, who had a solar system installed by All Energy Solar in 2015. “The installation itself went by quickly, and the value became real at the point where I received my rebate on my taxes. My Xcel Energy rebate followed the next year. Now I’m really seeing the cost savings— I’ve averaged a $14 electric bill in each of the past two years.”
Unlike solar energy, funds for programs like Xcel Energy’s Solar*Rewards aren’t unlimited. Applications often require a bid, which in turn, requires a
free site visit to be scheduled. In short: if you’re thinking about going solar and want to take advantage of the best financial incentives, it’s time to get started and make hay while the sun’s shining!
