Is someone in your household going back to school soon? Here are some tips that may be helpful:

  • Stress can be a problem for students of all ages. Complementary health approaches such as yoga, mindfulness, or relaxation techniques may help. There may be classes available through after-school programs and on college campuses that teach these techniques. The self-help tips in our flyer “Press Reset on Stress” can also be useful.
  • Some online sources of health information are trustworthy, but others are inaccurate or misleading. It can be challenging to tell the difference, especially for young people who are just starting to manage their own health. Our fact sheet “Finding and Evaluating Online Resources” gives tips on how to check out online health sites and apps.
  • Energy drinks are popular among young people, but they can cause problems, especially if they’re used excessively or in combination with alcohol. Find out more from our fact sheet on energy drinks.
