By R Barbara
There may be a time when you will need to transition your dog or cat to a new food. This process is fairly easy, but does require a bit more than buying the new food and simply serving it to your pet.

By Annie Rios Hill
A healthy alternative to expensive dog treats are vegetable and fruit. Dogs love chewing on fresh carrots. Canned green beans or canned carrots are also healthy and good for them with no fillers.

I started making these for the local humane society to sell at fundraisers as well as at the local vet clinics. The vets found this to be a perfect toy. It is stitched, so it is safe. My own dog steals them from the sewing machine.

Today's Questions3months puppy who have parvoI have a 3 month old Golden Retriever puppy who currently has parvo. We brought her to the vet and she stayed for 4 days for treatment. The vet said we could take her home and monitor her. He asked us to feed small amounts of food consisting of white rice or chicken breast. She can walk slowly, stand, and even bark.Caring for a Puppy with ParvoMy pup is about 6 months old, he stopped eating and then started throwing up. I took him in it was parvo. They said to just give fluids, sent an IV home and told us to give Pepto and Pedialyte. He's still puking a little, not much, and has now started having straight bloody stool. Are there other things I can do?Cleaning a Cat Vomit Stain Off a Leather CouchMy cat vomited on my cream leather couch. I cleaned it as soon as I saw it and used a leather cleaner. I have a yellow stain left in that spot. I did try baking soda and also white wine vinegar and water. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?5 Week Old Puppy Not EatingI just got a puppy, she's about 5 weeks old. She eats very little maybe 1 piece of dry puppy food. I tried to give her wet food. I took her to the vet and they said that she will have problems and that she weighed 1.6 lbs. What can I do to help her? Do I need to get a baby bottle and feed her milk food?Dog Pees While Sitting Down and in His CrateI adopted a 1.9 year old Siberian Husky. They told me he was house broken, but he keeps soiling in the house when sitting and in his crate. I keep him on a schedule, control his food intake, and take him for long walks to ease his anxiety. He will still come in and pee. Vet is checking for a UTI.New Dog Not PeeingI am looking for some doggy advice. So we got our rescue dog 3 weeks ago and he's incredibly anxious. He's quite taken with my girlfriend and is completely comfortable around her. He is less so with me and very skittish with men in general. Today, he's not peed while walking at all. (He did this morning with my girlfriend). What Breed Is My Dog?ThriftyFun Contests! This newsletter is powered by you! Below are the active contests on ThriftyFun...
