Summer 1963 – the film director, poet, writer, and intellectual Pier Paolo Pasolini traveled throughout Italy, from the factories to the beaches, from the North to the South, and interviewed passersby about hot and yet censured topics. He questioned them on a wide range of things: the importance of sex in everyday life, prostitution, homosexuality, the legalization of divorce, gaps between men and women.
The result is a series of informal interviews that reveal the honesty and purity of the interlocutors – in a scenario that Pasolini itself describe as very old and very innocent. And even if it seems so far from the present – it makes us realize that some of the emerged problems are still a thing nowadays. |
